The Fredric C. Tausend Moot Court Competition is open to eligible Legal Writing II students only. The competition takes place annually in January.
The Tausend Competition shall determine those competitors who will compete as Seattle University's National Moot Court Team in the New York City Bar Association annual competition. The number of competitors selected for the Team shall be subject to approval of the Executive Committee and the specific competition rules. The top three to six finalists from the Tausend Competition will be offered positions on the team. If any of the top three to six competitors decline the offer, or refuse to comply with the requirements of the offer, then the individual with the next highest score in the competition will be offered the opened position.
