We offer two types of services.
During the fall semester, September through November, we may have limited opportunities to provide direct representation in a hearing. Alternatively, we can assist with pro se (self) representation preparation.
If you are in danger and need immediate help, call 911.
Obtaining a domestic violence protection order is often the first step in a more complicated journey to resolve other family law issues that arise when leaving an abusive relationship. We provide an additional service called the Family Law Forms Lab.
In order to initiate a divorce or settle property matters, or seek child support or spousal support or even child custody, multiple forms must be filled out and filed with the court. These required forms can be difficult to access and extremely overwhelming to fill out. We are here to assist survivors of domestic violence with accessing and filling out these forms as they navigate the legal processes that come with ending an abusive relationship.
We provide this service free of charge and over the phone or Zoom. There is no requirement to meet us in person. We will connect with you at times that work best for you.
