If you have young children needing day care, the Office of Admission maintains a limited listing of centers for your review. Seattle University students, staff, and faculty with children attending various centers are happy to consult with you and to provide personal recommendations as well.

Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington

Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington (CCA Northwest) partners with child care providers, business owners, community organizations, and families across Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom counties to provide access to child care and early learning programs. 

Child Care Resources of Seattle/King County

BrightSpark is a nonprofit organization based in community that serves children, families, caregivers, and child care providers across King and Pierce Counties.

City of Seattle Human Services Department

Seattle Humane Services Department (HSD) Child Care Resources' Information and Referral line serves all King County families seeking childcare information for children between the ages of 1 month through 14 years. While middle and upper income families are charged a fee, lower income families are provided with the service at no cost.

Disability Empowerment Center

The Disability Empowerment Center is a community-based organization led and run by people with disabilities. The organization is a crucial hub for individuals with disabilities to receives free individualized services and access to community-based resources.

ECEAP and Head Start

The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is funded by Washington state for children ages 3 and 4. Head Start is funded by the federal government for children ages 3 and 4 and, in some locations, pregnant women and children from birth to age 3. 

King County Childcare Services

King County Childcare Services provides financial support for families seeking childcare through subsidy programs.

Parent Map

Parent Map is a resource guide for parents across the Greater Seattle area to help navigate the challenges and joy of raising kids.

Parent Trust

Parent Trust is a statewide non-profit dedicated to ensuring that every parent has the knowledge and skills they need to raise healthy, thriving children. The organization provides parents classes, coaches, and other resources. 

PFLAG

PFLAG Seattle is a chapter part of the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. The Seattle chapter provides referrals to local agencies and hosts monthly support meetings where parents, families, friends, and LGBTQ+ individuals can share their experiences with others to learn how to support one another.

Seattle Childcare Assistance Program

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps families living within Seattle city limits pay for the cost of childcare for children 1 month up to their 13th birthday. 

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program

The WIC Nutrition Program is a place where families can get healthy food, nutrition education, health screenings and referrals, and more. WIC is for pregnant people, new, breast and chest feeding parents, infants, and children under age 5.

Working Connections Child Care

Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) helps eligible families pay for childcare. When a family qualifies for childcare subsid benefits and chooses an eligible provider, the state pays for a portion of the cost of childcare.
