Asian Pacific Islander Law Student Association (APILSA) Awards

• The API (Asian Pacific Islander) Amicus Award recognizes a friend whose character, professional achievements, and outstanding service to the Asian Pacific Islander Student Association community — especially in the areas of mentoring, advocacy, and support — have contributed to APILSA’s growth.
• APILSA Alumni Award acknowledges an API alumnus who gives unselfishly of their time and energy to contribute to the legal community, community-at-large, and the Seattle University School of Law community. The API alumnus embodies a willingness to use their platform and voice as a vehicle to make an impact on society.
• Trailblazer of Service Award honors an API alumnus who is committed to using their platform as a vehicle for social change; advocating on behalf of marginalized and unrepresented communities; and working to foster a more equitable, humane, and just world.

Black Law Student Association (BLSA) Awards

• Black Law Student Association Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated excellence in the practice of law, a commitment to community service, and continued dedication to BLSA
• BLSA Amicus Award recognizes a friend whose character, professional achievements, and outstanding service to the BLSA community — especially in the areas of mentoring, advocacy and support — have contributed to BLSA’s growth
• BLSA Leadership Award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in the legal community and the community at large
• Vanguard Leader of the Year Award recognizes alumni leaders in the community who are at the forefront of creating change in the world

Latinx Law Student Association Awards

• La Justicia Award honors a Latina/o alumnus whose contributions and achievements in the legal community embody the principle of standing for excellence and reaching for justice. The Latina/o alumnus selected will be recognized for contributions to the legal community, the greater community-at-large, as well as unwavering dedication to the advancement of the law school and law school community.
• Spirit of Service Award acknowledges a Latina/o alumnus who is unequivocally committed to a more just and humane world, works to foster justice and promote equal representation in the justice system and has made sacrifices to ensure that the underrepresented are given a voice.
• Latina/o Amicus Award is given to a friend whose character, professional achievements, and outstanding service to the school, especially in the area of mentoring, advocacy and support, has contributed to the growth of the organization.
