The LEAD-WA Diversity Fellowship Program was established to provide opportunities for traditionally underrepresented first-year law students in Washington State. Selected fellows will be offered a paid 1L summer position at one of the participating employers. Students from Seattle University, University of Washington, and Gonzaga law schools participate.
Employer members of the LEAD-WA Fellowship Program will host an information session in October.
Download the Program Description below for complete details and application instructions. Seattle University law students should apply through Symplicity under the OCI tab beginning in November.
In November, CPD hosts a 1L Diversity Fellowship reception to give local firms an opportunity to meet with interested students.
The 2024 reception date will be Monday, November 4 held at Seattle U Law. Please email Josie Mitchell if your firm is interested in attending.
Information for the 2025 fellowships will be updated as details become available. Please refer to each firm’s website for the most updated information and timelines.
Review the NALP Member Diversity Fellowships/Scholarships for additional opportunities offered by national employers outside the Seattle area. Fellowship/Scholarship amounts vary by employer, but in general range from $7,500 - $15,000.
