What did you do before law school?

I was a Marine Corps F-18 Weapons Systems Officer.

What led you to pursue law school?

The transition period between public service in the military and a new career was ideal timing to return to school and utilize educational assistance. Mentors and leaders that I respected were individuals who displayed a common theme of thinking critically and approaching problems in a methodical manner. This trait was also common amongst lawyers I knew, so, desiring this skill for myself, it seemed the next logical step was to pursue an advanced degree in law.

How has Seattle University School of Law benefited you? What have you found most valuable during your law school experience?

Returning to academia has been refreshing, and grappling with challenging questions during lectures is a welcome experience. Interactions with the diverse student population have been beneficial as we build and nurture a network of professional relationships. These benefits aside, I believe the most valuable experience that Seattle University School of Law has provided is challenging me to defend my beliefs and critically evaluate personal viewpoints.
