What did you do before law school?

I have been the National Director for Veterans Outreach for the Democratic National Committee, Political Appointee and Anti-Forced Labor liaison for the Obama White House, Legislative Aide to Miami Beach Commissioner Mark Samuelian, and Campaign Coordinator for Washington State Senator Manka Dhingra.

What led you to pursue law school?

I was led to pursue law school because of my drive towards service. The law touches so many aspects of our lives, and as a Latino and as a veteran, I feel I can bring the unique perspectives of those two communities to the field.

How has Seattle University School of Law benefited you? What have you found most valuable during your law school experience?

I have found the opportunity to engage with the larger legal community via externships and networking events to be extremely valuable. I have met people whom I respect greatly and now have the privilege of calling mentors. These individuals serve as a guiding framework for the type of lawyer I want to be.
