What led to you pursue a law degree?
I have wanted to pursue law since high school. I find the crafting of arguments and the creation and evolution of the law fascinating.
How has Seattle University School of Law benefited you? What have you found most valuable during your law school experience?
Getting out of the military can be a very jarring transition for many service members. I got off active duty right before starting school, and Seattle U has benefited me by providing a very warm and welcoming environment in which to transition back into the civilian world. Both the student body and faculty are very open and accepting, and so far the most valuable thing has been being able to connect with many of the veterans in my class and in the upper level classes, who understand both the challenges and stresses of law school, and those associated with having served.
What are your professional and personal goals after law school?
After law school, my ultimate goal is to be able to be a veteran's advocate pro bono.
