The Law School provides up to two $5,000 fellowships support a SU law student in a social justice internship outside of the United States. Students are responsible for identifying and securing placements with a suitable public interest organization. Professors Tom Antkowiak and Ron Slye, among others, are available to assist in identifying suitable organizations and in some cases facilitating a placement. Past recipients have worked at the University of Central America (in Nicaragua); the International Commission of Jurists (Kenya); the Kenya Human Rights Commission; and the Documentation Center of Cambodia.

The Externship Program has international positions available in the summer and during the academic year, including exciting opportunities with The Hague and Geneva. Students can search the by geographic area to see all our approved international externships.
