Create your curriculum. Choose from over thirty-five courses to create a curriculum centered on innovation law, including intellectual property, based on your interests and desired practice areas.
For foreign and U.S.-trained lawyers seeking to study technology and innovation law in areas such as cybersecurity, digital commerce, financial technology and privacy.
For non-lawyers interested in technology and innovation law-related fields, including compliance, consulting, government, banking, and business.
For distinguished students who have already earned a law degree and who want to focus on a specific area of research and writing, including technology and innovation law.

The Technology, Innovation Law, and Ethics (TILE) Certificate is awarded to J.D. graduates who successfully complete all coursework and co-curricular requirements, indicating a deep understanding of technology, innovation law, and the regulatory challenges posed by their intersection. Graduates will receive this prestigious recognition on their transcripts and diplomas.
Students interested in receiving a certificate should complete TILE Certificate Form and submit it to Professor Margaret Chon before the end of the second week of classes in the semester of your expected graduation.

With a curriculum grounded in the foundations of compliance and risk management, our students graduate with a commanding knowledge of law, legal analysis, and the frameworks used to identify, assess, and respond to risks related to fintech, data, and cybersecurity. Courses are open to JD and LLM students who meet specific criteria.
