Dean's Club

The Law Dean’s Club brings together our most generous alumni and friends who give $1,000 or more in support of the law school. As a donor, you can support everything from student scholarships to experiential education, to student organizations and journals, our centers, faculty research, and more! Gifts to the Annual Fund for Excellence provides us with the dexterity we need to respond to a rapidly changing legal market and world, and ensures that Seattle U Law students continue to receive the highest quality legal education. Dean’s Club donors receive the unique benefits listed below.

Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leaders are graduates from the nine most recent graduating classes who make an annual investment of $100 for each year since graduation. For example, an Emerging Leaders gift for an alumna three years out is $300. Current law students are also eligible to join Emerging Leaders with an annual investment of $100 or more. In recognition of their philanthropic commitment, these students and recent alumni are considered full members of the Dean’s Club and receive the unique benefits listed below.

Law Legacy Society

The Law Legacy Society is a group of alumni, faculty, and friends who choose to make a gift plan that includes a lifetime gift of assets, an estate gift, or both to Seattle University School of Law. To become a member of the Law Legacy Society, simply let us know that you have made plans for a gift to Seattle U Law, such as:

• A bequest by will or living trust
• Creation of a charitable gift annuity
• Creation of a charitable remainder trust
• Naming Seattle University School of Law as a beneficiary of an insurance policy, retirement account, bank account, donor advised fund, or commercial annuity.

Members of the Law Legacy Society receive the same unique benefits as Dean’s Club donors do.

Dean’s Club benefits

Membership in our Dean's Club or Emerging Leaders Club include the following benefits:

• Free parking on campus upon request (due to IRS regulations, current SU faculty, staff, and students are not eligible for this benefit.)
• Invitations to Dean's Club events and other special events hosted by the dean and university president.
• Invitations to selected campus and regional events.
• Name recognition on the Dean's Club plaque, mounted at the west entrance of Sullivan Hall, outside the Justice Fred H. Dore Courtroom (contact us to opt out).
• Seattle University A.A. Lemieux Library borrowing privileges.
