Student insurance

International Students

International students are required to purchase the health insurance offered at Seattle University specifically for international students, unless the student can provide proof of insurance under a comparable plan.

Domestic Insurance Options

We recommend that you carry health insurance while a student at Seattle University School of Law.

Our best advice is that, if possible, you continue the plan under which you are currently covered. If you are not presently covered by a plan, or wish to discontinue the one you have and choose another, you may enroll in an individual plan through Aetna.

Aetna insurance plans may be purchased via JCB Insurance Solutions. All enrollments and payments are done through the JCB Student Insurance Portal. There is no need to contact Aetna directly. Check the portal for enrollment periods for each term.

Summer term only coverage

For Summer term only coverage, please contact the Business Office at lawbusinessoff@seattleu.edu for enrollment information.

Please note that your enrollment in the above plan is completely voluntary, and is not administered through Seattle University.

Student Health Center

Seattle University's Student Health Center provides a variety of primary care and special services. All Seattle University students have access to the University Health Center.
