Criminal legal system reform
Involvement
I was the co-chair of the law school’s Wellness Committee and spearheaded an initiative that secured access to wellness and mental health services for the entire university. Additionally, I served as the university liaison with the Disability Inclusion Alliance, and as the Student Bar Association representative for my 1L section I secured Section A commemorative mugs.
Passion
My choice to work in the criminal legal system is based on a desire to impact the lives of people within the community for the better. Everyone is impacted in one way or another by the criminal legal system and it is important to strive for change that will allow future generations to live in a more equitable society. I hope that my efforts in the criminal legal system will start the momentum needed for reform that will benefit everyone.
