Involvement

I am actively involved with the Seattle University chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, where I contribute to initiatives aimed at promoting justice and equity within the legal community. In addition, I hold the position of staff editor at the Seattle Journal for Social Justice, where I am responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of scholarly articles addressing social justice issues. Moreover, I had the privilege of participating in the Calhoun Family Fellowship during my first year of law school, an experience that enhanced my understanding of legal principles in real-world contexts. Furthermore, I consistently engage in critical analysis, challenging prevailing assumptions and advocating for more equitable approaches both in the classroom and with the policies and procedures in the law school.

Passion

I advocate for the abolitionist movement, holding the perspective that the law and the carceral systems that they create/perpetuate significantly harm individuals, communities, and the collective spiritual well-being of our society. My decision to attend law school was driven by a commitment to acquire the necessary legal expertise and skills to mitigate these harms to the greatest extent possible.
