Biography

Kristin Tan is a proud Seattle native who has built her career working in non-profit organizations in the Greater Seattle Area. She is currently Chief Legal Counsel at Catholic Community Services of Western Washington, a health and human services organization that serves marginalized populations throughout Washington State and in Oregon. Kristin's main areas of practice focus on civil rights, employment, and contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation.

Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, where she interned at the University of Washington Athletics Department and served as a student liaison on behalf of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington. Kristin completed her undergraduate studies at Xavier University in Cincinnati, where she competed on the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Team and was a 3-time Academic All-American.

Outside of her legal career, Kristin serves as Board Secretary for School Connect WA, a 501c(3) non-profit organization focusing on closing the academic gap for low-income, BIPOC, and unhoused students throughout Greater King County, grades K-5.
