Biography

Ryan Steidl is a Senior Manager with a national practice for Cybersecurity and Privacy. In that capacity, Ryan advises organizations around the world on all facets of data privacy, leveraging his business law background supporting clients both in-house and as a consultant. Ryan’s clientele spans global Fortune 500 companies, buy-side M&A organizations, and smaller pre-IPO start-ups. As a data privacy attorney, Ryan helps companies translate legal requirements into operational practice, including: developing rationalized global controls frameworks, regulatory change management, program governance, designing privacy and data steward models, consumer preference management, driving minimization programs, and creating monitoring and metrics programs. In addition to traditional advisory services, Ryan has supported technology selection as well as implementation and integration efforts. Ryan also leads global assessment programs (PIAs/PRAs), and emerging tech governance initiatives (e.g., A.I., PETs). Ryan is a frequent presenter on data privacy, and is an Adjunct Professor with Seattle University’s College of Science and Engineering where he teaches a course on “Data Science, Law, and Ethics”.
