Visiting Assistant Professor of Lawyering Skills
Jennifer Soderman graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2004. During her time here, she served as an Associate Editor for the Law Review and was a Cheney Faculty Scholarship Nominee for Legal Writing. Professor Soderman has spent the past 18 years as a civil litigator for a mid-sized insurance defense firm that she eventually became a partner at. Her practice has allowed her to participate in numerous complex tort cases as well as write and argue hundreds of briefs, including briefs to the United States Court of Appeals.
Professor Soderman joined the Legal Writing faculty initially as an adjunct while maintaining her practice and is now a Visiting Professor. She remains an active member of the Washington State Bar and assists at her firm when time permits.
