Biography

Clive A. Pontusson is an experienced employment law litigator who has represented employees, labor unions, and the federal government. In addition to representing employees across Washington State in state and federal court, he has litigated employment discrimination claims against small employers and Fortune 500 companies in federal courts across the Northwest, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. He has obtained significant outcomes for his clients in single and multiple-victim sexual harassment claims, race-based hostile work environment claims, disability accommodation claims, class action wage and hour violations, class action gender pay claims, and employee free speech rights in the workplace.

In addition to his work as a litigator, Clive has overseen more than 30 federal civil rights investigations, monitored compliance with consent decrees, and presented on employment law topics at Law Schools, Human Resources industry groups, and for local and municipal governments.

Clive is currently employed at Skidmore Fomina. Prior to this, he was a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). He holds a J.D. from the University of Washington and a B.A. from Cornell University.

When not practicing law or teaching, Clive enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the mountains.
