Peter Houck graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2016. Since 2017 he has been a staff attorney at the Housing Justice Project. HJP is a pro bono program of the King County Bar Association that prevents homelessness by giving free legal representation to renters in eviction cases. HJP also serves renters by providing case management from experienced social workers, administering a large rental-assistance program, researching and sharing data about evictions, and advocating for policies that support housing stability. At SUSL Mr. Houck co-teaches the Housing Justice Clinic. Students learn about landlord-tenant law, civil litigation, and professionalism by representing real client under the close supervision of HJP staff.
