Visiting Clinical Professor
Rachel Myers is a supervising attorney with Legal Counsel for Youth and Children (LCYC). At Seattle University School of Law, she provides case support and oversight to students participating in the Child Representation Clinic. Rachel offers students nearly a decade of experience representing children and their families in dependency proceedings across eight different counties in Washington State. Prior to joining LCYC, Rachel was a solo practitioner working with the Office of Civil Legal Aid's Children Representation Program, and the Office of Public Defense's Parent Representation Program. She is a former public defender with the King County Department of Public Defense, Northwest Defenders Division, where she exclusively represented children and parents in complex civil litigation against the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families. Rachel graduated from Emory University School of Law in 2016. She holds a BA in Political Science.
