Barbara Lock has over 30 years experience as an attorney and professor. She earned her JD from UCLA and her LLM in taxation from the University of Washington. She clerked for Chief Justice Dore of the Washington Supreme Court and then practiced tax, business, and estate planning law in Seattle for almost twenty years. In 2010, she relocated to Boise to teach for the University of Idaho College of Law, where she directed the federal tax clinic and taught courses in individual income tax, corporate income tax, and wills and trusts. In 2020, she returned home to Washington and resumed practicing law. She also teaches for both the Seattle University School of Law and the University of Washington School of Law tax LLM program.
