Thea Jennings is assistant general counsel in the Office of General Counsel at the Washington State Bar Association, where she conducts legal research, drafts memoranda, and provides advice and counsel on issues relevant to the WSBA and legal professional regulation. Thea further acts as legal counsel to and staffs various entities and programs, including the Washington Supreme Court’s Practice of Law Board, the volunteer pool of disciplinary hearing officers, the custodianship program, and the disability accommodations program. Prior to her admission to practice law, Thea had over 13 years of experience in legal professional regulation and ethics at the Washington State Bar Association. Thea completed Seattle University School of Law’s evening program while employed full-time at the WSBA, graduating summa cum laude in 2021. While in law school, Thea served as research assistant to Professor Ronald C. Slye and as an editor on Seattle University Law Review; she was further honored with the Metzger Legal Writing Scholarship. Thea graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English and French.
