Professor Juan Caballero's (he/him/el) scholarship and teaching focuses on immigration and administrative law. Prior to joining the Seattle University School of Law, he taught at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, in the Lawyering Program at NYU School of Law, and as a Teaching Fellow with the Michigan State University School of Law.
Prior to entering academia, he worked as a staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois. In this role, he litigated high-profile cases on a wide range of civil rights issues, including immigrant rights, prisoner rights, freedom of speech and expression, and voting rights.
