Biography

Mr. Al-Salam’s practice focuses on intellectual property analysis and dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis in patent, trademark and trade secret litigation, arbitration and trial. He has worked with small and large clients in a variety of technologies and industries. Mr. Al-Salam has taught Patent and Trade Secret Law at Seattle University School of Law since 1999, and has also taught at the University of Washington School of Law as an adjunct professor. He started his practice of law as an associate at Lyon & Lyon in Los Angeles from 1983-1989. From there he worked as an associate at Bogle & Gates in Seattle from 1989-93. He worked at Seed & Berry in Seattle Of Counsel from 1993-95 and as a partner from 1995-99.

Mr. Al-Salam is admitted to practice in California (inactive) and Washington as well as the United States Supreme Court, United States Courts of Appeal: Ninth Circuit; Federal Circuit, United States District Courts: Western and Eastern Districts of Washington; Central District of California; District of Colorado.
