Biography

Ramsey Al-Salam is a partner at Perkins Coie LLP  and has spent more than 35 years focusing on intellectual property and technology-related disputes, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. He has been consistently acknowledged as a leading practitioner, having been named in Band One of Chambers for more than 10 years for intellectual property litigation. He has also been consistently listed in Washington Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. The latter named him Seattle Intellectual Property Litigator of the Year in 2011 and 2012 and Seattle Patent Litigator of the Year in 2014, 2019 and 2024.

Ramsey has been teaching patent law at Seattle University for more than 20 years and enjoys teaching students not only about the principles of patent law, but about how they arise in practice.
