9th Annual Berle Symposium: Investor Time Horizons

June 5 – 6, 2017
Georgia State University College of Law

Berle IX will focus on the broad question of investor time horizons. Conference participants will examine the relationship between investor time horizons and corporate governance mechanisms exploring how corporations can tailor their internal design to balance potentially competing time horizons and more closely achieve 20/20 vision. Participants may also engage in related research questions regarding market efficiency, hyperbolic discounting, time biases, and other contributions. The conference seeks to deepen participants' understanding of the issues, highlight interdisciplinary implications, and provide a sense of what questions remain unanswered in order to identify future paths of research.

Berle IX will feature work from diverse fields such as corporate governance, finance and economics, and neuroscience. Presenting authors will publish their research in a format of their choosing in a dedicated volume of the Seattle University Law Review.
