Veterans Day Reception
Seattle University School of Law welcomes the university community, alumni, and friends to our annual Veterans Day Reception to recognize those in our community who have served our country in the armed forces.
The reception will feature a color guard by the Seattle University ROTC students, a ceremony to honor prisoners of war and soldiers who are missing in action, and remarks from Faisal Akhter, a Senior Corporate Counsel at Microsoft. Appetizers and drinks will be provided.

About Faisal Akhter
Faisal Akhter is a senior corporate counsel at Microsoft. In his role, he leads a team of attorneys who conduct internal investigations. Prior to joining Microsoft, Faisal served as an active-duty officer in the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 2012 to 2020. He continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves as the primary legal advisor to a civil affairs organization that operates in the Pacific.
