Organizing & Advocacy for Justice Virtual Speaker Series
Seattle U Law's Critical Justice Initiative welcomes scholars and students from across the country for the inaugural event in the Advocacy for Justice Virtual Speaker Series.
The Advocacy for Justice Virtual Speaker Series features authors and activists whose work contributes to the pursuit of materially felt racial and economic justice.
This webinar will feature Stephanie Luce, professor of labor studies at the School of Labor and Urban Studies and professor of sociology at the Graduate Center for City University of New York. Along with Deepak Bhargava, she is the co-author of Practical Radicals: Seven Strategies to Change the World (The New Press, 2023).
According to Luce and Bhargava, practical radicals are those "who hold big visions for transforming society and are willing to do what it takes to win in the real world."
The webinar will include a moderated discussion about Practical Radicals, followed by an audience Q&A.
