The Homeless Rights Advocacy Project at Seattle University School of Law has joined with other organizations in a statement responding to a recent news video called "The Fight for the Soul of Seattle."
In the letter, the organizations say the piece fails to consider the economic factors responsible for homelessness.
"There's no 'battle' for the soul of anything, save perhaps for a nation that has allowed its housing market to careen out of control and a lack of leadership willing to address it," the letter reads.
The video aired on KOMO News, which is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, on Dec. 13, 2020.
