Seattle University School of Law values its alumni, individually and on a community level, and values the relationships we’ve built that benefit both our alumni community and the law school. The school wishes to be of service to alumni. One of the ways we achieve that is to offer traditional benefits such as the use of the Center for Professional Development, which serves alumni looking for meaningful employment, seeking to switch careers, and in general providing resources tailored to the individual alumnus. The school also hosts various conferences, seminars and CLE programs that aim to provide alumni with increased understanding of substantive areas of law and increased opportunities to network and dialogue with colleagues, all while helping individual’s fulfill mandatory CLE requirements.

The Office of Alumni Relations has as one of its priorities to grow and diversify the benefits offered to the alumni community, and we are working hard to do this. In this vein, a new opportunity has presented itself as Seattle University aspires to become a Division I team, once again.

After the alumni forum concluded with the third dean search candidate, many of the alumni present joined the office at the SU Men’s Basketball game vs. Fresno State at KeyArena. From the Alumni Relations suite, we easily were able to discuss the three dean finalists alumni had met in the past 10 days, network, and enjoy the game, which proved to be a nail-biter to the end when SU went up by one point with four seconds remaining on the game clock.

We look forward to hosting alumni at future games as a way to come together and say thank you, all while supporting Seattle University!
