Computer Requirements

Should you already own a relatively new laptop or choose not to purchase a Dell through the student program, your portable computer must meet the following minimum specifications.  Please make sure your computer is able to connect to the network.

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Windows:
  • Operating System: 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10
  • CPU Processor: 2GHz Intel i3 processor or equivalent
  • 4GB of RAM or higher
  • Hard drive: Highest recommended for the operating system or 1GB of available space.
  • Internal Ethernet 10/100 and/or 802.11 g/n/ac wireless
  • Microsoft Office
  • Administrator level account persmissions.
  • NOTE: Alternate Versions of Windows such as Windows RT, Windows 10S are NOT supported
Mac:
  • CPU: Intel Processor
  • 4GB of RAM or higher
  • Hard drive with minimum of 1GB available storage space
  • Internal Ethernet and/or 802.11 g/n/ac wireless
  • OS X 10.13 or newer (OS X 10.14 is recommended)
  • MS Office for Mac
Tablets:
  • Surface Pro tablets are supported

  • NOTE: Alternate version of Windows 10; such as Windows RT and Windows 10S, are NOT compatible or supported
  • Android tablets, iPad and iPad Pro are NOT compatible or supported
  • Physical keyboards are required for ExamSoft.  

NOTE:
Chromebooks and Linux are NOT supported
