Should you already own a relatively new laptop or choose not to purchase a Dell through the student program, your portable computer must meet the following minimum specifications. Please make sure your computer is able to connect to the network.

- Operating System: 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10
- CPU Processor: 2GHz Intel i3 processor or equivalent
- 4GB of RAM or higher
- Hard drive: Highest recommended for the operating system or 1GB of available space.
- Internal Ethernet 10/100 and/or 802.11 g/n/ac wireless
- Camera with intergrated microphone (external headset not allowed)
- Microsoft Office
- Administrator level account permissions.
- NOTE: Alternate Versions of Windows such as Windows RT, Windows 10S are NOT supported

- OS X 10.14 or newer. MacOS Big Sur (version 11.0) only compatible with version 2.5 or higher (released on 11/13/2020 or later)

- NOTE: Alternate version of Windows 10; such as Windows RT and Windows 10S, are NOT compatible or supported
- Android tablets, iPad and iPad Pro are NOT compatible or supported
- Physical keyboards are required for ExamSoft.
NOTE: Chromebooks and Linux are NOT supported
