Computer Requirements

Should you already own a relatively new laptop or choose not to purchase a Dell through the student program, your portable computer must meet the following minimum specifications.  Please make sure your computer is able to connect to the network.

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Windows:
  • Intel Processor running at 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or greater
  • 4GB of RAM
  • Hard drive with minimum of 50GB available storage space
  • Internal Ethernet 10/100 and 802.11 g/n wireless
  • Windows 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Alternate Versions of Windows such as Windows RT, Windows 10S are NOT supported
Mac:
  • Intel Processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • Hard drive with minimum of 50GB available storage space
  • Internal Ethernet and 802.11 g/n wireless
  • OS X 10.11 or newer
  • MS Office for Mac
Tablets:
  • Surface Pro tablets are supported

  • NOTE: Alternate version of Windows 10; such as Windows RT and Windows 10S, are NOT compatible or supported
  • Android tablets, iPad and iPad Pro are NOT compatible or supported
  • Physical keyboards are required for ExamSoft.  

NOTE:
Chromebooks and Linux are NOT supported
