Request Transcripts and Other Documents

Current students:
Current students can request documents (transcripts, enrollment verification, copy of law school application, etc.) by emailing lawreg@seattleu.edu from their Seattle University email account.

Former students
Transcripts and other documents can be requested from the School of Law Office of the Registrar by submitting a completed Document Request Form. For the quickest service, please email the completed form to lawreg@seattleu.edu. Please note, for former students, a student ID is not required when submitting the form.

Except for Bar Certification requests, all documents will be processed within 2-3 business days. Bar Certification requests will take two weeks to process, please take this time into account when submitting the request.

Transcripts
Official transcripts are free to current students and $5 per copy for former students, including alumni. Unofficial transcripts are free for all current and former students. The Office of the Registrar only accepts cash or check for payment. This payment can be mailed separately if the Document Request Form is emailed.

Only hard copies of official transcripts can be provided. We do not have official, electronic transcripts.

Transfer Application Packets
Students applying to another law school as a transfer student must complete a Transfer Packet Request. The cost of a transfer packet is $10.

The Office of the Registrar only accepts cash or check for payment. This payment can be mailed separately if the Transfer Request Form is emailed.

Verification of Enrollment, Good Standing, or Graduation
The School of Law Office of the Registrar can supply you with a letter verifying your enrollment, academic standing, or graduation.

All enrollment for current students is reported to National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) multiple times throughout the year. There is no need to submit a separate enrollment verification form for loan providers unless the loan provider does not use NSC.

There is no cost for a verification letter.

Class Rank Letters
Class rank is released after the Fall and Spring Semesters for graduates and upper-level students and after the Spring and Summer Semesters for first-year students. There is no cost for a class rank letter.

Diploma Replacement
The diploma replacement fee is $15 if the diploma is ordered with the next graduation batch or $35 if the diploma is ordered for delivery within 4 - 6 weeks. Please fill out the Diploma Replacement Form.

The Office of the Registrar only accepts cash or check for payment. This payment can be mailed separately if the Diploma Replacement Form is emailed.
