Technology law, with a focus on data privacy and cybersecurity

Involvement

I have been actively involved in multiple student organizations during my time at Seattle University, including playing a pivotal role as a founding member of the university's first and only nonbinary and gender nonconforming specific student association (NGNCA).

Additionally, I have demonstrated a commitment to promoting social justice and raising awareness of important issues within our community. For example, I was involved in organizing the first teach-in held by any law school in Washington on the tragic murder of Mahsa Amini by Iran's morality police, which was a powerful and impactful event that helped to raise awareness about the importance of human rights and justice for all individuals.

Passion

My passion and interest in data privacy can be described as a deep concern for the protection of autonomy in the digital space. I am interested in exploring the complex legal and ethical issues surrounding data privacy, including the balance between privacy and national security, the impact of emerging technologies on marginalized populations, and the need for greater transparency and accountability in data handling practices. Overall, my passion in data privacy reflects a commitment to protecting fundamental rights and promoting social justice in the digital age.
