Rena Chng is a Visiting Professor teaching Legal Writing, Skills, and Values. Professor Chng obtained her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2000 where she was the recipient of the John A. Cortner Award. Professor Chng began her legal career in Palo Alto, California as an IP litigation associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. From 2005 to 2013, Professor Chng was an associate and, later, a partner at Mayer Brown where her practice focused on commercial litigation and internal investigations. After moving to Seattle and a brief hiatus from practicing law, Professor Chng joined the commercial litigation firm Savitt Bruce & Willey.

Professor Chng is an avid reader and enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and two young children, trying new restaurants, and television of dubious value.
