Biography

With 25 years of proven experience as a pioneering technology and cyber security advisor, Sam accelerates change and innovation within organizations and people. By inspiring teams, developing trust relationships and challenging the norm, he delivers points of differentiation to multi-billion dollar companies in highly competitive markets, increases market share, to exceed revenue targets. He believes the best strategies start with human capital and focus on leadership strength.

Sam serves as an expert and speaker for The United States Department of State, SME Focus: Cyber Security, Governance & Policy, Women's Economic Empowerment through IT; Youth Leadership Development & Entrepreneurship.

Prior, Sam held Global IT, Risk & Cyber Security Leader roles for public and private sector top Brands such as IBM, Microsoft, KPMG, PWC, and Accenture. He led strategy, transformation and projects for clients that include Fortune 500 companies in nearly every sector and top professional services firms and financial institutions to mitigate risk and deliver security as a competitive advantage.

Sam has recently been nominated as a board of advisor to the Institute of World Politics, Cyber Intelligence Initiative, Washington DC. The Institute of World Politics is a graduate school of national security and international affairs, dedicated to developing leaders with a sound understanding of international realities and the ethical conduct of statecraft.

Sam has taught at the University of Washington and currently Chairs, The Emerging Technology and Cyber Security Leadership Council bringing together a select group of thought leaders, academics, public sector, business and tech leaders - the foremost subject matter experts on risk, security and disruptive technologies to connect, ideate and create positive impact.

Sam Chughtai and Paul de Souza join IWP Cyber Intelligence Initiative as Advisory Board Members

The Cyber Intelligence Initiative (Ci2) at The Institute of World Politics is pleased to welcome two new Advisory Board members: Sam Chughtai, who has twenty-five years of leadership experience with Microsoft, IBM, Accenture, KPMG, DOE, and DOJ; and Paul de Souza, Founder and President of The Cyber Security Forum Initiative (CSFI).

Mr. de Souza plans to give a lecture on the topic of "The Importance of Collections in Cyberspace Operations" at IWP on Monday, October 30.

The Cyber Intelligence Initiative at the Institute of World Politics looks forward to rewarding partnerships with Sam Chughtai and Paul de Souza.
