Laura Anglin is a law clerk at the Washington State Supreme Court where she has helped draft opinions and dissents on everything from state habeas to water rights to marriage equality. She is a frequent speaker at CLEs on appellate advocacy and appellate writing. Between clerkships she has served as Senate Counsel at the Washington State Senate where she advised senators and the lieutenant governor on parliamentary, legal, and ethical issues, and as a tax referee at the Board of Tax Appeals. In 2014, she received the Professionalism Award from the Washington State Bar Association in recognition of her countless hours mentoring law students, law clerks, and externs. Professor Anglin graduated summa cum laude from the law school in 1999 where she served on the law review as a lead articles editor. She will be teaching Washington Constitutional Law: Practice and Perspectives in the Olympia program.
