Criminal Law

Brandy Gevers is a graduate of both Seattle University and Seattle University School of Law. While her background is in finance and economics, her social justice background drew her to work in public service after her law school graduation in 2012. She has become an expert in the criminal law field and has worked in all areas of criminal law, most recently as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Special Assault Unit where she focused on working with child victims of sex crimes and tried over a dozen sexual assault cases to a jury. She has argued cases in both trial and appellate courts, including the Washington State Supreme Court, and has negotiated and resolved well over 100 felony cases.

Additionally, Ms. Gevers has consistently presented and trained attorneys at CLE's and statewide conferences on criminal matters, and mentors new attorneys on trial strategy, motions practice, and effective oral and written communication. Ms. Gevers is well-recognized for fairness, integrity, and civility by colleagues, opposing counsel, and the bench.
