
Professor Schoeggl has been in private practice in Seattle for more than 30 years specializing in insurance law and insurance litigation. Professor Schoeggl has been counsel or amicus in many significant insurance coverage matters, including Smith v. Hughes, 22 F.3d 1432 (9th Cir. 1993); Goodstein v. Continental Cas. Co., 509 F.3d 1042 (9th Cir. 2007); Coventry Assocs. v. American States Insurance Co., 136 Wn.2d 269 (1998); American National Fire Insurance Co. v. B&L Trucking & Construction Co., 134 Wn.2d 413 (1998); Queen City Farms v. Central National Insurance Co., 124 Wn.2d 156 (1995); and Boeing Co. v. Aetna Casualty & Surety Co., 113 Wn.2d 869 (1990). He is a frequent lecturer at regional and national education seminars on topics involving insurance, aviation, and trial practice. He has taught Insurance Law as an adjunct professor at Seattle University since 1998.
