April 10, 2020 | 3.75 Other CLE Credits |

Stories are one of the most powerful ways to connect, engage and persuade. People "listen" to good stories and can be one of the most potent skills you have in your client toolbox.

Overview

Storytelling for Lawyers is designed to be fun, interactive and informative.
• You'll learn and have an opportunity to practice ways to craft and deliver a compelling story.
• The session will include: improvisation, vocal exercises and exploring several story forms such as the classic story structure and how to tell your story creating anticipation.
• During the second half of the session, participants will apply the skills to craft a story of their choosing and deliver to the group with individual coaching.
• Participants are encouraged to bring either an "opening" or some kind of oral advocacy presentation that would benefit from receiving crafting.
