Approximately two dozen current and past deans will speak on topics such as: Deciding to Become a Law School Dean Succeeding in the Selection Process Accepting the Job and Key First Steps Navigating the Intersectionalities of Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation and other Differences as Dean 360-degree Management – Exploring the Decanal Interface with Different Constituencies and Stakeholders at State, Private, Religious, and Independent Law Schools Confronting the Current Challenges to Higher and Legal Education Deaning Through Crisis Engaging Key Constituents Institutional Priorities, Budgeting & Financial Management for Deans Leadership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Fundraising Sitting and recently sitting deans will also be available to provide one-on-one mentoring and advice to participants. Some of these sitting and recently sitting deans were past Workshop participants who have gone on to become deans and credit the Workshop for providing them with invaluable advice, guidance, and mentoring.
