DESCRIPTION:Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (a virtual conference) Cost: Free Conference Overview: This year’s conference explores innovation in legal services, a familiar theme for this annual innovation conference, by taking a deep dive into the business models of two companies operating in the legal technology sector to aid those seeking legal services, and to innovate in the delivery of legal services for business clients and deals. The conference also continues its familiar theme of innovation in the FinTech sector, this year with a focus on regulatory developments and the appropriate role for regulation and regulators, along with a look forward from the vantage point of what has been a newsworthy year for banking and crypto. Surrounded by these bookends, the middle of the conference posits diversity as key to innovation and explores that theme through two “fireside chats” with those who have written about their experiences in diversifying the technology field, along with a panel exploration of the extent and causes of under-representation within intellectual property policies and practices, as well as law student perspectives on pipeline programs to address DEI issues.
