Application Procedure

Eligibility

• Open to anyone with a JD or foreign equivalent
• English language proficiency requirements

Priority application deadline

August 1 for fall semester start

Requirements

1. Complete the LLM Application Form (PDF) or apply online through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). In addition to this application form, applicants must submit:
2. Personal statement (1-2 pages) – discuss your background, goals, how you plan to use your LLM degree, and any additional information you would like to convey
3. $60 (US) nonrefundable application fee (waived for current Seattle University students and alumni).
4. A resume or C.V.
5. List of at least three references with contact information (academic or professional references preferred but not required).
6. Certificate of Good Standing from any jurisdiction in which you are a member.

The following items must be sent to the law school directly from the appropriate institutions:

7. Official transcripts from all academic institutions where you have studied. A certified translation must be attached if the transcript is not in English.
