Madrid Summer Study Abroad Program

About the Madrid Program

This program will run from July 5 - 17, 2020.

Watch the January 16, 2020, Madrid Information Session here.

Spend two weeks in July taking a three-credit course in English with English-speaking Spanish and other law students from the European Union, at the country's top law school. Courses include guest speakers and field visits. Students can choose from Comparative Family Law or Transnational Business Transactions. The classes are taught at the Universidad de Carlos III Madrid in the beautiful and vibrant heart and soul of the city.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Seattle University School of Law is planning to host our International Study Law in Madrid Program this summer and will continue, along with the University, to review the COVID-19 situation and our ability to host this program.  All decisions will be made with an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff and will be updated on this website as they become available.

Application Packets are being received electronically and our March 9 Deadline is flexible due to the fact that in-person classes will not resume in the Law School until the end of March. Follow the application submission process here and please email Laurie Wells either your intent to apply or your application packet materials for consideration and how you plan to submit your program deposit.

This program is accredited by the American Bar Association.  No Spanish language skills are required.
