Dean Annette E. Clark '89

I am a proud graduate of Seattle University School of Law, and I'm so pleased to introduce you to this special place. It has been my great privilege to earn my law degree here, to teach and mentor hundreds of students over the years, and now to be the first alumna chosen to lead the law school.

As you navigate this website, you will quickly see that Seattle University School of Law is a unique community, where academic and intellectual rigor, a deep commitment to social justice and a healthy discourse thrive.  Here, students have the opportunity to help shape their legal education, with support and guidance from our outstanding faculty, staff and your fellow students.

Our Legal Writing Program produces exceptional writers and advocates, and our Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic and Externship Program offer real-world experience. We are the most diverse law school in the state, and we value and embrace students, faculty and staff who bring different experiences and backgrounds.

Seattle University School of Law offers the state's only part-time law program, geared to meet the needs of working professionals, and the opportunity to earn a law degree and a master's degree in one of eight graduate programs at Seattle University. Ten percent of our class is admitted through our Access Admission Program, which considers an applicant's life experience and professional promise in addition to traditional criteria.

One of the best things about my longstanding relationship with the law school is counting so many former students and alumni as friends. I could not be prouder of the graduates we produce, who are outstanding members of the legal community in every state and abroad, practicing every area of the law, education, public service, and the judiciary.

If you're a prospective student, I welcome you to learn more about us and to find out why Seattle University School of Law is the right choice for you. If you are a graduate or friend of the university, I look forward to seeing you at events at the law school and throughout Washington and the country as we invite you to engage in the life of the law school.
