New Student Orientation

Orientation is an important opportunity for you to be introduced to an inclusive learning environment, construct the academic foundations for success, and to understand the values and traditions of SU Law. There are three phases to Orientation. The first two will take place in June for Summer Start students, with both online and live presentations that will provide opportunities for you to apply legal principles to a hypothetical client's dilemma. Library staff will also distribute passwords for the three online legal databases you will use, and representatives from both LexisNexis and Westlaw will briefly introduce their products.

The third phase occurs in August and is designed for all students. This phase will give you the chance to meet the fall-entering first-year students and to engage with what it means to enter the legal profession and to learn more about the law school's expectations of you as a student at SU Law.

Detailed information about the Orientation program will be sent to Summer Start students in early June. August Orientation information will be available in July.

Summer 2016 Criminal Law Registration

All Summer Start students will receive a Registration Packet, including important enrollment information, required textbooks, and detailed registration instructions upon payment of their seat deposits. Students may register for the appropriate section of Criminal Law and confirm summer registration by using SUOnline, Seattle University's online registration system.
