Benefits for Alumni
Seattle University School of Law treasures our alumni and we are pleased to offer benefits and programs designed further your legal career and continue your involvement with the law school.
Center for Professional Development
Center for Professional Development services are available to law school alumni, including job postings, resume and cover letter review, career counseling and mock interviews. CPD serves alumni through in-person, phone or e-mail contact. Please visit the alumni section of the CPD site.
Loan Repayment
Consistent with the Seattle University School of Law's mission of preparing students who are committed to contributing to the common good by shaping an equitable legal system, Seattle University School of Law established a Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). The LRAP is premised upon assisting graduates who choose full time public interest legal careers and are attorneys. Please visit our LRAP Web site for more information regarding the Seattle University School of Law LRAP.
Library and Legal Research
All alumni have lifetime library privileges. Graduates enjoy complete access not only to the print collection, but also to our extensive microfilm and government document collections. Library memberships, which include borrowing privileges, are available, as well. Laptop and notebook computers may be used throughout the library; all carrels and tables in the facility are wired with power and internet access. The library’s public terminals provide internet access as well as access to non-restricted databases. Visit the library Web site.
Use of Facilities
On a space-available basis, alumni may use law school classrooms, courtrooms, interview rooms and public spaces for retreats, client marketing programs, law-related social events and other purposes. During the academic year, these facilities are generally available Monday through Thursday before 9 a.m.; Friday after 12 noon; and weekends. For more information contact Miranda Lucker, mirandaj@seattleu.edu.
Order a Transcript
Do you need a transcript for a job application, a bar application or personal reasons? The Registrar’s office will provide one for you, generally within 48 hours. The cost to alumni is $5. While you cannot request a transcript via e-mail, you can download the form online and fax or mail it to the law school.
Complimentary Course Audits
Our law graduates may audit up to a total of six credit hours of law school classes free of charge. Course enrollment is on a space-available basis and subject to instructor’s approval. In some cases the Washington State Bar Association grants CLE credits for such enrollment. For the academic calendar and a listing of course offerings for the next term, go to the academics page.
Continuing Legal Education
The School of Law offers a number of CLE programs throughout the year at a reduced rate for our graduates. A wide range of topics are also available online. For CLE options check out our CLE catalog.

I appreciate the law school's focus on social justice, ethics and intellectual rigor. I am glad to have the opportunity to stay involved with the law school to support students.
